日本に先行して違法伐採問題の政府調達方針を実施している英国で、政府の調達方針に関する情報提供と、調達者、供給者に対するアドバイス、各種証拠の評価など中心的な役割を担ってるCEPT（Central Point of Expertise on Timber)の関係者から意見を聞く機会がありました。

英国政府の違法伐採に関する調達方針は、すべての契約は最低限の要求事項として合法材であることが求められ、持続可能な木材望ましいとされています。（契約における要求事項）

合法性と持続可能性にの証拠は次の二つの方法で評価されます。

カテゴリーAの証拠（森林認証スキーム）

チェック項目は詳細にわたり、「森林認証をとる方が簡単」と言うことになりかねない内容です。
